From the front desk
The puzzle page, back where it belongs.
There was a time when the best page in the newspaper had no news on it. It sat near the back, past the classifieds, and it asked nothing of you except a pencil and a little while. Nobody counted your mistakes. Nothing flashed. You finished when you finished.
The Harbor Post is that page, rebuilt for a browser. Three games, chosen the old-fashioned way — because they have earned their keep. Klondike Solitaire, dealt properly, draw-one or draw-three. Sudoku, generated fresh and checked to carry exactly one solution. And Mahjong, laid out so that every deal can actually be finished.
Scores stay in your browser, which is to say they stay yours. No timer runs unless you ask for one. The type is large because we like it large; if your eyes prefer larger still, press the button at the top and everything grows a quarter again.
Pick a game. The kettle can wait.
